Karen’s Hasher is very useful tool for everyone. It is a small utility but it can do great jobs for you. It is much typical to find duplicate files from thousands of files even if they have the same file name and size. But what if you have thousands of files but with different file names and what if you have thousands of different files but with the same name! How you will find these duplicated files? The easiest way is to use Karen’s Hasher. Karen’s Hasher can compare your files directly on the bases of content of file and not by name or size of file. It actually computes and verifies the hash values of a text string, files or a group of files. And you know hash value is the fingerprint of a file or text string. So if two files or text string have same hash value then these files are virtually guaranteed identical. Karen’s Hasher is able to compute MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 hashing values of a string of text or of disk files or a group of files. It also gives you the option to save Hash result to a disk file which you can later use to compare files with other files or to verify saved hash files. It is also very useful to find out corrupted files by comparing hash value of the downloaded file with the original one.
